American Apparel doubled security at a rummage sale today to prevent a repeat of yesterday's crowd chaos which saw 10 police officers injured and three people arrested.
Scuffles broke out at the American Apparel sale in Brick Lane, east London, when 2,000 shoppers arrived for the event yesterday morning.
Film footage posted on YouTube shows police officers wrestling on the ground with people, with lots of shouting and screaming among bystanders.

The company called in the police and stopped the sale, with less than 30 people making it to the tills.
But today the security was doubled and doors opened early to avoid a potential crush of excited bargain hunters.
American Apparel brand manager Jan Hubner said: 'Everyone is happy today. The problem yesterday was that the line wasn't controlled from early in the morning.
'At 10am there was a burst of people coming to the front door. We couldn't control that. We knew it was going to be big but not this big.
'Today we started from 5am to make sure the line was under control. And we opened the doors at 8.30am although the official time was 10am.
'We've doubled the security and now have 30 people helping to control the lines.'

He said there was no need for eager shoppers to arrive early as new shipments of clothing were arriving throughout the sale, which has now been extended to Monday.
About 50-100 people were waiting to enter the store when the doors opened today but the queue soon disappeared and hundreds of young women looked calmly through the racks inside.
Sarah Robinson, 19, from Camberwell, south east London, who studies at Leeds University, said she was 'really annoyed' at what happened yesterday but decided to come back today.
She said: 'There was an absolutely massive queue that went all the way to the main road.
'Everyone was really pushy. Everyone was coming to the front. There was a fight and everyone was getting a bit panicky.'

Emily Cooper, 19, a student from Canterbury with a pile of clothes under her arm, said: 'People went crazy yesterday. When the doors opened they were rushing through and started crushing people.'
Scotland Yard said 10 officers received minor injuries but none required hospital treatment.
A force spokesman said three people were arrested on public order offences, adding: 'Police had not been notified in advance of the numbers expected to attend. The organisers were spoken to by police.'
The company hired more than 22,000 sq ft of space for the sale.
In a statement on their official website, American Apparel wrote: 'The response at our first Rummage Sale in London was overwhelming and humbling.
'Some unfortunate and downright dangerous behaviour in the queue prompted the police to temporarily close the event down until they could ensure security for everyone involved.
'In our many rummage sales, we've never witnessed anything like it and are disappointed and sorry that it happened.'
Thousands of people have turned up at similar events in cities like Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, San Diego, Miami, Berlin and Austin.
Almost 30,000 people had signed up on Facebook to say they were planning to attend the sale.
